Getting Educated: What It Takes!

ion that supports your decision making process and then supports you far beyond.

We believe that you should have a plan in place that we call G+5:  this means Graduation+Five Years!  You should plan for a college education that will lead to your fulfilling your longer-term goals, not just completing a course of study to receive a degree certificate ...

Going back to school is a major decision: it will take time, money, energy, and sacrifices. It is therefore important to make the best choices, in terms of schedule, program, degree, institution, finances, and other success factors.

For more information and personalized assistance, please fill out our Interest Form.

Here are some important considerations:

  • What are you seeking to accomplish by going back to school? Make a list.
  • What do you want to study, and what do you want to be when you are done? Write a job description.
  • How long are you willing to work on this project? How many hours/week can you dedicate to this effort?  Create a  plan.
  • What level of result are you pursuing? A degree? What level of degree? Decide.
  • What major will you pursue? Decide.
  • How will you pay for your education? Not just tuition, but also income loss due to school priorities, books, materials, travel?  Search for the right school that offers good finacial options.
  • Do you want to study only online, only on campus, or a combination (called "hybrid")? Decide.
  • Will your employer help you?  Or at least support you in terms of time requirements? Find out.
  • Do you want to attend a specific school, or are you open to various programs at different schools? Decide.
